Cherry Blossoms at the Mall

Celaschi came for a visit before heading back to West Virginia. The boys and I had missed her and were glad she was able to swing by after her spring break on the beach. We had a blast!

She insisted we go to the Cancun Cantina to see the Amish Outlaws play. I was skeptical but we had a blast and they are pretty good. The best part of the night was when she went up on stage for a booty shaking contest (she was definitely the winner).

Saturday we worked out, had Dunkin Donuts, and then drove into DC to see some cherry blossoms down at the Mall. There weren't too many of them out but the Magnolia trees were beautiful and they had much bigger blossoms. We didn't stay too long, grabbed a soft pretzel and a hot dog from a cart and headed home. Later that evening we had a small cookout with Shawn.

Sunday morning when I woke up Celaschi was gone. She is notorious for waking up early to get on the road. I missed saying goodbye to my dear friend. I cannot wait to see her again soon.

We love and miss you Auntie Moo Moo!!

Just Like My Mom, Again...

Growing up there was always a basket on the dinning room table filled to the brim with different bottles. This cornucopia of pills consisted of my mother's medication and all her vitamins. She would have her breakfast every morning with a large glass of water and next to that would be a pile of these pills and she would slowly eat her breakfast and take them. I always thought she was odd. Who needs that many vitamins?! I mean what does fish oil even do?

As I get older I realize I am more like my mother (and father). More than I would like to admit to be honest. When I started my new diet I decided to take vitamins since I am getting "older". I sat down to breakfast and realized that I was my mother...

My pile is much smaller than hers. I am only 24 though...

Complex Fire

Last Friday the top floor of a building in our complex caught on fire. I had heart palpitations until I learned that it was not my building and my boys were okay.

No one was hurt but the building is no longer housing tenants. We were very lucky!

Let the Grilling Begin!

The weather here was absolutely beautiful yesterday, in the 70s! Steve and I ran out the night before and bought a grill, all the necessary grill related items(tiki lights included), and food.

We spent the afternoon putting together the grill, lights, preparing the food, and cleaning up the house for Zack and Rollie's (pronounced Rah-lee) arrival. We had not met Rollie before since Zack adopted him in February so it was fun to have them over! He is a sweet dog, but HUGE compared to the boys.

I enjoyed the great food and company. I cannot wait for more nights of grilling. BUT I do miss everyone in Pittsburgh :(

Dryin' Off

Being the nice mommy I am I took the boys out on the golf course to play in the beautiful weather and sun we were blessed with this afternoon...

We had fun until I noticed Walter rolling in something. I went to investigate and notice it was the remains of bird. NICE!

So we marched back into the house and took baths immediately. My boys don't love taking baths but it is something that must be done. But they are absolutely adorable when they get out.

Walter is a puff ball and Chuy is a drowned rat. They also do funny little things to dry off.

Well the better video of Walter rolling around on the couch and knocking all the pillows off was taken on my phone and for some reason it is not loading properly to my computer or facebook. I did get a shorter less cute/funny one of him and another of Chuy rolling around.

Game On

The gym I use to spin at sent an email with information on their next Game On Challenge. After reading what the game was and how it worked I knew I wanted to do it! Instead of paying the $65 I decided to call up my girls in Pittsburgh (and West Virginia) and get them all on board with me.

The Game On Diet is a book that I have not read. I am sure it is a great read and probably explains more about the diet. However, the gym's website (http://www.synergy-gameon.com/Overview.html) had all the rules, the worksheets, and motivation I needed to get started!

I like this diet because it not only makes you eat 5 small healthy meals a day but also encourages you to get enough sleep, exercise, and water for your body. I hope the next 7 weeks will help us all learn to live healthier lives as well as get those last few lbs off before bikini season.

GOOD LUCK LADIES...GAME ON!

Girls Night In

After a long morning/day in Baltimore Tracey, Kerri, and I headed to Tracey's house where we had enchiladas with Jeff and Ivan. Jeff was the bartender and made sure the Margaritas were flowing (mine have a lot less bite then they use to).

After dinner Kerri and I helped Tracey with her floral arrangements while we listened to music and chatted up a storm. I had a blast with these two!

I can't wait till our next Saturday night together!

On Target

I told my friend Miguel that I had never shot a gun before and he almost had a heart attack. So we headed to the range down the street from the office this week after work and I got to learn about guns and shooting! I had so much fun and can't wait to go again. I think I would be okay having a gun now...YIKES!! (don't tell mom)

Guess which side was mine...left or right?!?!
