Busy Bee (& the snip snip)

The last few weeks I have been a crazy mad woman. This is the end of the end, finally! I only have 13 more days till my last final and I can hardly wait. However, my social life and level of fun have disintegrated to absolutely nothing. It seems like I have a constant stream of work and it shows no signs of stopping until the 6th of May. I cannot wait for the work, stress, headaches, late nights, and early mornings to finally be over for a while!

This past week has not only been filled with school and project work but also motherly duties. Walter had his surgery and is now a few ounces lighter (so sad). He had to stay the night in the kennel all alone. I think I was more upset than he was (we both made it through the night just fine). He was so cute and cuddly on the way there (I had slipped him a nice pain pill during dinner). Below are a few cute pictures of him enjoying the sunny ride and eventually falling asleep in my arms.

The next day when we went to get him he was so excited to see us. He also had tons of energy and couldn't wait to run and play with his brother. I tried to force him to lay around and rest but there is no stopping this dog. I guess my hopes of this making him more calm can be thrown out the window.

Pirates

Pittsburgh is very into their professional teams (Steelers, Penguins, and the Pirates). I wanted to go to one game for each team before I moved. Seeing as how last nights baseball game was $1 I decided there was no better night to go. We all loaded up and headed to the field.

By the time we got in from tailgating, got our hot dogs, fries, and onion rings it was already half way over. I didn't complain because I am not a huge fan of baseball. After a few innings I was ready to go home; however they decided to play and extra inning so Kirsten bought me cotton candy to keep me happy. Needless to say it worked and the Pirates won!!

Here are some pics from the evening...

Naked Boy

The weather here is BEAUTIFUL so what does that mean?!?! Walter's winter coat needs removing. I did not realize how much hair this dog had...IT WAS RIDICULOUS! It took clippers and scissors to get most of it off. He did so well through the entire process. He was even relaxing with his eyes closed at one point. He loved all the attention.

Chuy was nervous but when he realized that he was not included in this adventure he lounged in the sun.

Here are some pics of my newly trimmed boy. He looks so tiny now (and comparable to Chuy). He also looks like a 3rd grader cut his hair. I have to work on my dog grooming skills apparently.

I left his facial hair...I think is unibrow and beard make him look distinguished.

Before...and a little afraid
