The Time Traveler's Wife
Although this book was quite long for a love story it was tender and really sucked me in. It is about a man and a women who grow to love each other in a very unconventional sort of way (involving time travel, obviously). While reading it I couldn't help but think about my own life and if I had the chance to change or alter it (especially the bad parts) would I? is it a good idea? It also had me thinking about fate/destiny and free will.
But, what I do know is...all things happen for a reason and you must learn and grow from each experience.
If you have time this summer to read some I would definitely suggest this book!

Mets Game
Apartment in DC (well Falls Church, VA)
Here are some pictures of my new apartment in DC. I am subleasing for a few months. It was such a mess trying to find a place but it all worked out in the end. I love this place (pool/jacuzzi, gym, sauna, tennis courts, game room, library, business center, convenience store, etc.)!!! It makes the weeknights so much easier; I don't have to drive anywhere but home after work (time saver) and work is a mile down the road!

Pride 2009 (DC Style)
This year I was in DC for Pride and Billy requested my presence. It was SO MUCH FUN! We got up to the DuPont Circle area and walked around to little shops. Then we had a cookout at his friend Eric's apartment. After we all freshened up we went out to the parade. It was awesome (as you can see from the pictures). The parade lasted so long (I left around 9). Thanks guys for an FANTASTIC time!
Saying Goodbye and Wallace's Birthday
Okay it seems like forever since I have blogged. So a few days before I officially left for DC everyone (that was still in town) got together for the Penns' game and Wallace's birthday. I felt bad that no one would be in town on his actual birthday so we decided to celebrate early. Celaschi and I brought cupcakes to the William Penn Tavern for him and we all sang Happy Birthday. I am sure we looked like idiots but not too many people were there yet (dinner crowd). It was a great night to be out. I got to see many friends that I had not seen in a while (since I quit going out as often). Here are some pics from the evening.

Cathedral of Learning
This morning Celaschi and I went to Prantl's Bakery for croissants, strudels, and sticky buns...YUMMY! Then we headed to the Cathedral of Learning to see the classrooms that are decorated for specific countries. It was very fun to see them...I wish I had class in some of them. After the classrooms we went to the TOP, 36 floors!! I was able to see a lot of Pittsburgh from up there...very pretty even though it is very overcast today.

The Pittsburgh Zoo
Celaschi got called off of work today so we decided to go to the Pittsburgh Zoo. I was amazed that she had never been before. Well, driving down 5th avenue we picked up Wallace and Jubby last minute. It turned out to be a fun little afternoon. After the zoo we went to Sonic for snackies and a nice cool drink!
I am secretly hoping Celaschi gets called off again so we can do more "Pittsburgh" things!!
