Number 27

I had the perfect birthday weekend!  Friday night we went into Baltimore to a concert and then dancing.  It was the first time Shawn and I went to a club to dance.  It was fun…and funny to watch Shawn.  Saturday morning we realized that we aren't as young as we think and had to take it easy from such a wild night out.  However, we were able to get up to see Wolverine and then out to a beautiful sushi dinner.  We ate so much!  Sunday we had the MIranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley concert.  I loved seeing Dierks again. During the week we celebrated my birthday a few other times with homemade West African Peanut Soup, cold stone, cookies, and presents!

CISSP

After putting off taking the CISSP exam I finally buckled down and studied.  I took the exam two days before my birthday, not sure if that was a good or bad idea.  BUT it ended up being a GREAT idea.  I PASSED and it was a great start to a perfect birthday weekend!

Blake Shelton Concert and Tailgating

The weekend before my birthday we went to the Blake Shelton Concert.  A group of us got there early so we could tailgate.  We of course had too much food, but no one complained.  Blake Shelton was AMAZING!  I loved every second of it.

My very good friend, Becca, from college got married this weekend in Washington, PA.  Shawn and I made a very quick trip up so we could share the special day with her and Justin.

4th of July

For the Holiday we ventured into DC.  King was having a BBQ at his new place and we had so much fun hanging out and playing latter ball!  We left as it was getting dark to avoid the traffic the fireworks bring to DC.  Does that make us old and lame?  Or smart?  After we got back home we sat out on our patio with the boys and enjoyed our newly landscaped yard.

This picture cracks me up.  Shawn had been giving the boys pieces of Slim Jims.  They weren't cooperating for a picture so I decided to hold a piece up above the camera.  I just love that all three are mesmerized by the treat.
