Mother's Day 2013

I know some think I am silly calling myself a mom of three boys; but they keep me busy and they are my babies.

Chuy, Walter, and Clyde insisted their daddy get me my favorite flowers, lilies.  They also suggested he get me potted ones from Lowes instead of a bouquet so I can enjoy them all summer.  They are so smart!  I got tons of lilies!  I will take a picture of them once they are planted and blooming.  I am so excited; I got red and orange, yellow, pink and white, and baby pink ones.  I already have white, and white and pink ones so my yard will be beautiful in the next month or so.

Although they could not come with us I was treated to a dinner at Red Robin (my choice).  Sometimes you want endless fries…

When I got home the boys had a treat waiting for me on the red plate.  It was quite the creation!

The boys also wrote me a sweet note on the "I love you because…" board.

Country Concert

This is our first concert of many for this summer.  We bought the Country Music Megatickets at Jiffy Lube Live.  It was cold and raining!  I hope not all the concerts are like this.  We were able to see Thompson Square and Luke Bryan (we missed Georgia Florida Line because I forgot the tickets at home and we had to turn around after an hour of driving, ooops!).

Chuy Celebrates Numero 4!

My littlest man turned 4 yesterday and we had a small family party (he finally feels what its like to be Walter).  I made a new muffin recipe and both boys loved it.  It will be my new go to.  Shawn was at school all evening and Chuy was dying waiting for Dad to come home and open gifts.

Everything is ready!

Waiting Patiently for dad…

They both go lost in the big bag (Shawn doesn't know what a flash is).

Didn't care too much for the snack and treats…more interested in bouncy balls.

Flying Dog

Shawn and I are exploring the areas close to us for fun little getaways.  This weekend we found ourselves at the Flying Dog Brewery in Frederick, MD.  Shawn had never been on a brewery tour so I was excited to be there for his first time.  This one was my first in the United States.  The people were great and so was the beer!  After we went to Brewery's Alley a great restaurant in the downtown area.  The food was so good and filling.  We have more tours in our area to go on and can't wait!

Nashville, TN

After my last work travel for a while I finally got to do a little leisure travel of my own.  Liz's had her bachelorette party in Nashville and I was able to go and enjoy the festivities!

 Loved her "Bride" robe!

The Petal Tavern is a MUST even at 10:00 am and freezing temperatures.

 All the denim!

 Who doesn't love Johnny Cash?!

Sambuca was worth venturing out for.

The Pancake Pantry was worth waking up early for.

The Arrington Vineyard (Kix's Vineyard) was beautiful and tons of fun.

Thanks for a great weekend Liz!

A Quick Trip to Yuma

Work took me to San Diego this past week and I decided to stay the weekend and go to Yuma to see the family.

The view from my room…The Marriott Marquis and Marina is beautiful and huge!

The pool - Kelly and the kids came swimming with me.  It was a little too cold but it was fun!

I was excited for the beautiful weather and a chance to see Kelly, Jay, and the kids.

When I got to Yuma anyone who was available met up with me at Chili Pepper and we had a great time visiting and eating!  Saturday I spent the day with mom and Sabra…we had so much fun just hanging out and being with each other.  I can't remember the last time we did that.  We need to do it again!

There are many more photos of my weekend but they are on my mother's camera (so we may never see them).

Love my big sissy!

Shenandoah National Park

This weekend Shawn and I went for a quick weekend to the Shenandoah National Park to enjoy the beautiful weather and nature.  We walked paths for hours on Saturday and drove through the park to see the views!  We even had a picnic before heading to Harrisonburg, VA to stay the night (free night from Marriott).

In Harrisonburg we went to Jack Brown's Beer and Burger Joint where we had amazing burgers.  Shawn had the Elvis Burger (cheese, bacon, and peanut butter) and I had the Hashy Jack (bacon, egg, cheese, and a hash brown)…one of the best burgers I have ever had.  Delicious!

We headed home on Sunday…not a long trip but it was good to get out and do something different.

Beautiful view where we had our picnic.

 Nature!

He thinks he can move it.
